About the founder
Nick Sondej is a mechanical engineer with a passion for solving tough product development and manufacturing challenges, while understanding and designing for the people behind them. He was an early employee at Markforged, where he solved hard problems and drove growth initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, technical marketing, and sales engineering. He also led the development of Markforged University, an engineering-first principles approach to 3D printing application development, and enterprise additive training programs for manufacturers. Previously he attended Georgia Tech (‘12) and MIT (‘14) for mechanical engineering and precision machine design under Prof. Craig Forest and Prof. Alex Slocum respectively. In his spare time he cooks well, rides bikes long, and codes and surfs with intermittent success.
